Software Test
Group Function:
The primary function of the group is to:
Test Software Applications (embedded and Applications layer) for Motorola Teleco
mmunications Systems and Solutions for CDMA, WiMAX and TETRA technologies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The role is to assist Senior Engineers with test of Motorola Products and Soluti
ons
The role involves all aspects of development from feature definition and require
ments through test.
Key responsibilities include:
• Implementing new software features & enhancements in accordance with the
Software Development Lifecycle (Test)
• Participation in technical reviews of own and others work.
• Involvement in process improvement activities.
Skills Requirement:
Technical
• Bachelor or above degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Tele
communications Engineering or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle
• Proficient in C++ and Java programming languages
• Experience in Object-Oriented development
• Experience with Oracle, Informix or SQL Server DBMS
• Knowledge of XML, Web Services an advantage
• Knowledge of IBM Rational Tools (ClearCase, ClearQuest, Purify, Quantify
) an advantage
• Understanding of spiral or agile development models a plus
• A background in Telecommunications and knowledge of mobile communication
